Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay was born on August 24 1972 on the 24th of August 1972 in Long Beach California. DuVernay was motivated to pursue her love of art by her aunt Denise at the age of a small kid. Aunt Denise worked as an overnight nursing assistant so that she could have an opportunity to study theatre or literature. DuVernay was a fan of the movie West Side Story, which she brought to her. DuVernay was educated by her mother about how the art form could be utilized to promote activism. DuVernay grew up with an aunt who was socially conscious and taught her how to make use of the arts as a means to express herself. While DuVernay grew up in Compton with her parents, she spent every summer living in Lowndes County Alabama where her parents lived for many generations. The father of DuVernay's recollects seeing the historic march of Civil Rights Movement on the Edmund Pettus Bridge. It was held in Selma Alabama, a neighboring city. DuVernay was inspired by her time in Selma, and later directed a documentary about the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay graduated with a high school diploma from Saint Joseph High School, Lakewood California in 1990. Upon graduation, DuVernay studied at the University of California Los Angeles where she earned degrees in English and African American study. DuVernay started broadcasting journalism at the age of a student. She began her career as an assistant for CBS News in the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay recalls being tasked to sit at the house of one member of the jury as well as look through their trash. Due to her duties she was dissatisfied with journalism and moved into the public relations industry. DuVernay started her career as a junior public relations assistant at a small film studio, right after graduating from the college. The DuVernay Agency is her first public relations agency. In addition to PR her agency also created a variety of lifestyle and promotional networks including The Urban Beauty Collective, Urban Thought Collective, Urban Eye and HelloBeautiful. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley is born with the birth sign of. She is a performer, most well-known for American Experience (1987) and A More Perfect Union (2009). Autumn appeared as Rose in A More Perfect Union as she played Anna Payne from American Experience.
